Abnormal Activity.

Author: Sterling Heltzel | Filed under: Uncategorized

Is it wrong that I feel if I don’t get the chance to see a certain movie in a packed house that I will kill myself and others and will be incredibly angry until I do? This is not a legitimate threat at all, hyperbole at its finest, I know, but the point here stands. I need to be 17 and have easy access to Tempe. Paranormal Activity is hyping the hell out of me and let’s face it, if I don’t see it in a room of 500 people, there’s no reason to see it. I don’t want another repeat of “seeing The Descent at 3 pm and being one of four people there”. That killed me inside for I don’t know how long, and this is about 10x that. I know this movie won’t be packed when it goes “wide”, or plays more than one showing a day, but 15k PTA’s from ONE SHOWING? I need to be there so hard it hurts.

Also, it seems like this movie is getting really damn popular. I got text messages from people whose favorite movie is Armageddon wanting to go see it, and the per theater average went from 6k to 15k this weekend, JUST FOR HAVING ONE SCREENING A DAY. That’s humongous. Too humongous to believe. Everyone is excited about this…except the people who live in my house, as usual.
