Proofreading is crucial.

Author: Sterling Heltzel | Filed under: Uncategorized

I quote something I find funny. I make sure to cite it. I then post it somewhere else while engaging myself in a big long rant that I posted without proofreading and just went on and on and on. As far as I know as my head is spinning with incoherent word vomit, I cite it too. Turns out I don’t. The firing squad cocks their guns. That just happened in regards to my big Kanye West post, in which I quoted ApeSlammer’s “100 dollar bill” line. So yeah, basically I plagiarized. It was an accident, but that doesn’t change the fact that I plagiarized. And plagiarizing is bad. Yep. In conclusion, proofreading is awesome. Do that sometime. The bright side of this is that it’s going to end up bringing a lot of people to the site, as all publicity is good publicity. But still, I feel foolish. Oversights are the worst kinds of mistakes.
