Democrats and Republicans can all find common ground on at least one issue, and one that’s pretty decisive is that Joe Lieberman is for the lack of a better word, an asshole. He embodies everything that each side finds wrong with politics and all at the same time, and anyone willing to be seen with him reaps the problems that come with him. Of course, like everything else he’s ever been involved with, like…his crusade against video games, and everything else that has basically made the man partyless, he’s being a lying sack of crap again. “I can’t support it because the people don’t want.” he says about the public option. Umm…
Fact is Joe, 77% of the American people want a public option, even though yes, the majority is not supporting Obama on healthcare. Paying for it is an issue, Obama’s handling of pushing the public option has been wretched, but 55% of Independents and 77% of the country wants the thing, even though the number is a bit lower for those who think it can happen. Hell, I don’t even think it can happen at this point, but damn do I think its necessary. Joe…you still suck.
