I keep saying over and over again that Meghan McCain is my favorite Republican. She understands conservatism in the Goldwater sense while also being able to think for herself and realize what the party is clearly outdated on. If anyone had any sense, they’d be pushing her as the future and follow by her example, as her direction is the only one that can really work for the GOP in the long-term, as you can only ride this Party of No/SOCIALISM OMG stance for a good 10-20 years, max.

It’s pretty sad though, that it really only takes a little bit to become “my favorite Republican”. Making quotes like this, for example, is a very easy but vital part of it. The man her father decided to make famous one day, much to her and his campaign’s dismay, is running his mouth every which way, which we all know and all continue to find so mindnumbingly annoying. His little homo-hate-mongering interview in Christianity Today about those evil queers spurred these comments that McCain made in Out magazine, which she was being interviewed for her outspoken angle on the gay rights issue, which she approves of, unlike the base of her party.
