…really?

I’m speaking about 13-year-old Scott Campbell, a blogger on a site I don’t care to link to because he doesn’t deserve the 4 pageviews I’d create for him, who was recently interviewed by the BBC in relation to the 30th anniversary of the Sony Walkman. Their story was about the boy using his dad’s walkman and giving his impressions of what is the iPod of the previous generation. His ignorance was staggering as I read the small article, as he criticized everything about the machine and ended off with a quote that produced a guffaw on this side of the atlantic, “Did my dad … really ever think this was a credible piece of technology?”

Yes, Scott, your dad really think at one time that this was a credible piece of technology. The fact of the matter is that mp3 players didn’t even exist for another 15 years or so, computers had 16 megs of RAM (as opposed to around 4 gigs now), and the internet was existing only in little BBS channels that you surely would know nothing about. It took you three days to realize what the B-side of a cassette was.

So now, I will continue to mock you. Congrats, you’re the first person in the history of PostAvant which I play my elitist, holier-than-thou card upon. You, Scott, are a historical figure.

-Zach

History in the making my friends. Everyone applaud. Do every wonder what these people do in there free time, it obviously isn’t thinking or this kid wouldn’t be so stupid. The declining intelligence of today’s youth, and the decadence present in society is not only baffling, but more evident than global warming. How sad.
