DeepDiscount’s sale is a deep ripoff?

Satisfaction guaranteed my ass.

Most of us greatly anticipate DeepDiscount’s big summer sale every year, until this year anyway, when they magically decided that since this is by far their busiest time, they’d raise prices so damn high that we’d end up spending MORE during the sale than regular times of the year. Every year, they’ve given us 25% off on everything, this year being between July 17th and August 2nd. My pockets and same with a bunch of others were ready to drain dry for this, but now prices are skyrocketing over there in preparation. DD’s folks say that the sale and the price increases are nothing alike, but…yeah, they did.

For examples of this mismanagement:
Band of Brothers Blu-Ray:
Pre-Sale Price: $50
Price as of 7/13: $80
After Sale Discount: $60 ($10 INCREASE)

Saturday Night Live Seasons:
Pre-Sale Price: $23
Price as of 7/13: $50.80
After Sale Discount: $38.10 ($15.10 INCREASE)

True Blood Season 1 Blu-Ray:
Pre-Sale Price: $44.89
Price as of 7/13: $63.49
After Sale Discount: $47.61 ($2.72 INCREASE)

So let’s rant and rave about how this “sale” is just one big hilarious scam now.
